Trevor provides broad spectrum legal services on the private trust, wealth protection and succession, estate and succession planning, probate applications, estate administration, charitable trust/ NGO and land redevelopment projects for statutory body.
Trevor has vast experiences on advising and setting up trust for high-net-worth clients for wealth protection and succession, advising on trust structures, liaising clients and professional trustees throughout the establishment of the trusts and on dissolution of the trusts. He also advises clients on establishment of charitable trusts/ NGOs for charitable purposes and the administration thereof. Apart from establishment of trust, Trevor advises and assists clients on general succession planning, by way of inter-vivo gifts or wills or combination of various means.
On the probate applications, Trevor represents and advises local and overseas clients on taking out Probate or Letters of Administration, in the High Court of Hong Kong and other jurisdictions. He assists and advises clients on the estate administration after the grant of representations. He collaborates closely with overseas lawyers on probate applications and estate administration with issues on foreign jurisdictions. Trevor has acted as joint administrators of estate for overseas client on probate application and estate administration in Hong Kong. In the regime of estate duty of Hong Kong, Trevor has advised clients on the clearance of estate duty with Estate Duty Office, Inland Revenue Department. Hong Kong and related estate duty issues for and in the course of probate application.
In addition to trust, succession and probate aspects, Trevor has broad experience on advising statutory body in Hong Kong on urban redevelopment and acquisition of subject real properties.
