Jenny is seasoned in multi-faceted dispute resolution, including civil and commercial disputes, criminal defence and matrimonial proceedings. She is dedicated to providing clients with strategic, comprehensive and multi-faceted legal solutions.
Having handled a wide range of civil and commercial litigation cases, such as breach of contract, property trusts, shareholder disputes, winding-up/bankruptcy petitions, partnership disputes, debt recovery, etc., she gained not only practical experiences in the substantive and the procedural laws, but also good understanding of clients’ need and commercial consideration. She also handles plenty of cross-border matters.
Selected civil and commercial dispute resolution works
- Acted for a PRC Bank and its international branch in a series of litigations involving a debt of HK$8billion against a billionaire in town and secured full victories for the clients
- Acted for overseas clients consisting of a bunch of creditors in winding-up proceedings (aggregated debt USD1.3billion) to join the proceedings and handle applications for provisional liquidators.
- Acted for the regulatory body of Hong Kong in a case involving resale price maintenance, the first such case since the full implementation of the Competition Ordinance
- Acted for a PRC state-owned enterprise in resisting the setting-aside of the registration of a PRC Judgment
- Assisted a Hong Kong securities firm in giving instructions to a Queens Counsel and offshore lawyers in asserting its right in the shares (as security) in a BVI company (underlying debt HK$1billion) in a BVI proceedings
- Assisted a PRC state-owned enterprise in disputing the jurisdiction of Hong Kong Courts in a claim relating to a landed property in PRC
